Intex Avatar 3D touch dual SIM mobile with 2D to 3D converter in India

The Intex Avatar 3D touch mobile phone recently hit the shores of India. Bearing a 2.8-inch stereoscopic display that requires 3D glasses (bundled) to view the 3D content, the Intex Avatar also features a one-touch 2D image/video to 3D convertor.

The Intex Avatar is also a dual-SIM device, of the GSM-GSM type.

This mobile device is accompanied by a free pair of 3D glasses for users to view the converted content in 3D. It also comes along with a 4GB multimedia card which contains 10 pre-installed 3D films and lets owners watch 3D videos at the rate of 30 frames per second.

Sanjay Kumar, GM, Mobile Business, Intex Technologies India, said:
“At Intex, we believe in addressing consumer needs by constantly innovating and developing feature-rich mobile handsets. India has evolved in adoption of 3D technology. Keeping consumer needs in mind we have introduced this novel feature. Intex is poised to provide unique offerings to all the technology enthusiasts with products such as ‘Intex Avatar’ that provide an enriched experience to long standing customers in India and abroad.”

The Intex Avatar
possesses FM Radio, Audio, Video Player and a 2MP main camera with LED flash (which can be used as torchlight). It offers 66.7 MB Internal memory which is expandable up to 16GB. It features a 1100mAh battery that offers up to 400h standby and 4h talk time. Furthermore, a bunch of popular games such as Crazy Birds, Fruit Ninja, Pentachess, Call of Atlantis, and Yumsters pre-intalled, and apps of Google, MSN, Yahoo and Facebook can be found pre-loaded in this handset. It supports both English and Hindi languages. The INTEX Zone has various functions like Answering Machine, Mobile Tracker, Auto Call Record etc...

Even-though it is not a smartphone like Android and features  a basic Java based OS which makes its functionality limited and lack of after market apps, but low cost 3D is a killer feature considering Android based 3D phones cost around Rs 25,000 to 30,000.

The Intex Avatar 3D touch mobile phone price reads at Rs. 3,690 and it is now available at 70 Intex retail stores and about more than 15,000 reseller outlets and distributors across India.
